Good Morning!
This morning I had one of those rare I love LA experiences. I woke up early and Ziggy and I headed to Runyon Canyon for his first hike. He was a little trooper. Beat me up the mountain! The weather was beautiful, the view amazing and the company couldn't have been better. Followed by a run to Starbucks, the perfect way to start a day!

My favorite place...
I've probably said this before and I'm sure I will say it again but I love to run...and there is one place on the planet that I love to do that more than any other...Central Park. It is my favorite place in my favorite city in the world. And there is nothing better than a spring day in NYC. Isn't it absolutely beautiful?
Ziggy not wanting me to leave...
you can order wine right to your seat on Virgin America (love)
the city in bloom
on my way to the park
the dreaded hill on the north end

Hot, Hot, Hot
I have finally recovered from my race from Hopkinton, MA to Beantown....the Boston marathon. It was last Monday, April 16, and it went down as the warmest ever. When I was running through the town on Newton it was 97 degrees! I'm glad I did it but I'm so happy it's over. It was definitely an experience and something I have wanted to do a for a long time. With a respectable time of 3:42, I was just happy I finished (especially since I had the stomach flu the night before). Here are a few pics I managed to snap on the route. Thank you all so much for your support and love!
Starting line in Hopkinton
a runner at the start...supporting the AIR FORCE!
Halfway mark...
only 13.1 miles more to go!
so close...finally we can see Boston!
the last stretch...how did he wear that costume in that heat???
the finish line is in sight
sooooo close!
DONE!

Rock on
I can't believe I'm saying this but...I'm kind of excited for "Rock of Ages" and seeing Tom Cruise as a washed up, strung out rock star
(is it supposed to be funny? cause it looks like it's going to be)

#9240
Two weeks from today, I will have crossed the finish line at the Boston Marathon wearing bib #9240. I'm super nervous, excited and about a million other emotions. This video of reasons to run really inspired me. I recently met some guy who told me he wasn't impressed with the accomplishment of running a marathon and that you only show real athleticism by doing a triathlon. Well, my reason for running the Boston Marathon? To impress MYSELF because the only one crossing the finish line with me...is ME.
Song of the Day
This is the band that Lady and I saw in Aspen. They were awesome! Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes. They are beyond good and this song, "Home," has some of the best lyrics I've heard in a long time.
Alabama Arkansas I do Love my Ma and Pa
Not the way that I do Love you
Holy Moly Me oh My your the apple of my eye
Girl I've never loved one like you
Man o Man your my best friend I scream it to the nothingness
there ain't nothing that I need
Hot and Heavy pumpkin pie
Chocolate candy Jesus Christ
Ain't nothing please me more than you
[Chorus:]
Home, Let me come Home
Home is Whenever I'm with you
Home, yes I am Home
Home is wherever I'm with you
Alabama Arkansas I do Love my Ma and Pa
Not the way that I do Love you
Holy Moly Me oh My your the apple of my eye
Girl I've never loved one like you
Man o Man your my best friend I scream it to the nothingness
there ain't nothing that I need
Hot and Heavy pumpkin pie
Chocolate candy Jesus Christ
Ain't nothing please me more than you
[Chorus:]
Home, Let me come Home
Home is Whenever I'm with you
Home, yes I am Home
Home is wherever I'm with you
Ahhhhhhhh-spen
A couple weekends ago my Lady flew me out to Aspen to celebrate my birthday and spend with weekend with her and her bf in the beautiful mountains. It was a perfect three days filled with skiing, food, a concert, wine, lounging, running, yoga and lots of fun. Lady, thank you and love you.
view from my room
TV room...I never wanted to take off my sweatpants and leave this room
my room
my closet...I wanted to move in
me and my lady at 12,000 feet (I skied TWO black diamonds!)
view from the top of the mountain
out for a run, in shorts
but there was still snow
gorgeous place to run
