6 Days...

One of the things I will miss most about Albuquirky is being 45 minutes away from Santa Fe. It is one of the most fantastic, cultural and quaint places I have ever been in the United States. It is a place everyone should visit. Here are a few of my favorite places...

8 Days...AND 7 Days...

My home sweet home in Albuquirky...The Bridge. While it may not be glamorous, for an entire year I had clean sheets and towels, coffee, breakfast and dog treats at the front door every single day. 





And this morning I realized I only have 7 days left in the Q, so I'm doubling up. While I've had some good food here in Alba-of-quirky, there is really only one that I will miss. The breakfast burrito. Amazing. And I'm not going to show a photo because I've eaten so many that I've OD'd on them. Oh, and that it will make me want one right now. 

9 Days...

It is easy to sum up one of my favorite things about the Q and the only thing I will miss every single day in two words...Marcy Marc. I never thought I would meet such a great friend in Albuquirky. The many, many nights of TV, martinis and wine in Club 401 were the BEST. xoxo

10 days...

I have learned to run in Albuquirky. I didn't like the high altitude air at first, the dryness killed me and the heat over the summer was not my friend. But I've gotten used to it and enjoy running next to these guys (if the pic is too blurry to make it out...that's my buddy the roadrunner). 

11 Days...

I don't go out much here in Albuquirky but on the rare nights that I venture out from "The Bridge," When the lights of the Q are all you can see, with the desert darkness in the distance, it is truly beautiful. 

12 Days...

It's Friday and as much as I'm looking forward to the weekend, I must say that one of the best things about being in the Q has been work. I've really enjoyed it and it's been so much fun to work on an active studio lot. All summer The Avengers filmed here and  "Breaking Bad" shot Season Four. So, now with Johnny Depp and The Lone Ranger starting next week and Season Five of "BB" is underway, I'm leaving the Q Studios...

13 Days...

I will be leaving the land of the Q and setting up residence in LaLa Land in exactly 13 days from now. I'm excited, ready, a little nervous and a lot less sad than I thought I would be to not be returning to NYC. And (very surprisingly) I think I'm going to miss Albuquirky...a little. So, in honor of the crazy fact that I almost(7 days shy)spent a year here, I thought I'd share some of my favorite/quirkiest things about the Q over the next couple of weeks. So, first off, the mountains. There is something so peaceful and soothing and of course, beautiful about seeing the ranges surround this city. Here they are as I was across the studio lot...topped with snow. Gorgeous, no?

A Birthday Wish

I want to wish a VERY HAPPY Birthday to the most amazing, beautiful, funny, smart, loving and deserving girl I know. Oh, and I just happen to be incredibly lucky to be the only person in the world to get to call her "sister." Meg, I love you so, so, so much and hope you have a wonderful Birthday and year filled with everything you ask for. I wish I could be there to celebrate with you but can't wait to see you soon for a night of sushi, wine and a piano player.

It's Halftime America

I am so excited and happy that the Giants won and LOVED the half time show and many of the commercials. But this one was by far my favorite....

The Macht Nichts Bandit

While in Germany, Dad and S told me about the sticks that are every 50 meters or so on the Autobahns. These white sticks mark the side of the road and let you know when you've gone to far off. They are called Macht Nichts Sticks (You're alright or Don't Worry sticks). Now, as you all may or may not know, S can become a little obsessed with acquiring fun, authentic souvenirs from all the places they visit. But getting your hands on one of these sticks is not as easy as a shopping spree in Katie Wohlfahrt. There was an undercover operation and to protect this person from criminal prosecution, I won't reveal the masked muggler's identity but I wanted to share what I caught on camera...

Dreaming of Deutschland...

So far, 2012 has been busy (award season, football special, tooth infection and root canal and getting ready to move to LA). It's been great minus the tooth issues but his morning I woke up wanting to be back in Germany. I had such a fun, relaxing time in December and would love nothing more than to wake up, go for a run with Dad in the country, make our daily trip to the base (ha!), have lunch at Globus and enjoy a night of good food, drinks and a fire. So, I thought I'd share a few of my favorite photos of my trip.
